Fujitsu Services celebrates its 2008 European convention in Madrid

Madrid, 30th April 2008 — Fujitsu Services, has held its European convention in the city of Madrid, on April 23 and 24, in the Eurobuilding Hotel. The reason for choosing the Spanish capital has been the recognition of Spain as one of the countries whose ability to modernization and progress have become a reference at European level. Fujitsu Services, as worldwide operations company leader in IT services, has contributed to that process and is committed to continue aligned with the expansion of the Spanish economy to help its customers (government, financial institutions and companies) to provide the best services to citizens, consumers, and their own employees.

At the gala dinner had the honour of having the presence of President of the Regional government of Madrid, Mrs. Esperanza Aguirre, with Mr. Fernando Merry del Val, Minister of Economy and Consumer of the Regional government of Madrid, and with Mr. Enrique Ossorio Crespo, Vice-minister of Economy and Consumer of the Regional government of Madrid, as well as with the heads of some major customers from Fujitsu. As part of Fujitsu, attended the gala dinner Roger Gilbert, Group Director; Yves Le Gelard, Director for Europe; Philip Oliver, Marketing Director for Europe; Javier Vega de Seoane, president of Fujitsu Services in Spain, and Juan Maria Porcar, COO of the company in our country.

Among the topics covered in this convention are the new strategies the company has set for this year, whose main pillars are based on the vision "lean" of Fujitsu Services to align IT services with the value chain of its customers, for continuous improvement and ethical commitment to sustainability. All this gives rise to a new model for global managed services and outsourcing, development and management of applications, and IT solutions.
