Global Delivery Center - Braga
On May 6, 2016 Fujitsu announces expansion of Fujitsu’s Delivery Center in Portugal, with the official opening of an extension in Braga that creates 300 jobs.
Marked the official opening of an extension to its Global Delivery Center in Portugal with an official ceremony attended by His Excellency the Portuguese Prime-Minister, António Costa and His Excellency the Ambassador of Japan in Portugal, Hiroshi Azuma.
On behalf of Fujitsu, the official opening was attended by Hidenori Furuta, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Delivery; Brian Murphy, Senior Vice President for Global Delivery and Carlos Barros, Fujitsu’s Managing Director in Portugal.
Fujitsu’s new center, located in the Braga Business Hub, provides technical support to thousands of Fujitsu’s users in four languages (English, French, Spanish and Portuguese) and is an extension of the Fujitsu Global Delivery Center in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon
Carlos Barros, Managing Director at Fujitsu Portugal, says: “This new investment by Fujitsu in our country underlines the dedication of our staff in Portugal. It is their efforts that have enabled the continuous growth of our Competence Center – starting from 200 employees in 2008. With the opening of an extension in Braga, we are now providing a workplace for more than 1000 people. Currently, we answer queries for the world over in 23 different languages and solve 1.3 million incidents annually, upholding the highest standards of technical service for our customers".
