Overview

VCO558 is an innovative video processor chip that provides a complete camera solution for mobile phones. With direct interface to CMOS/CCD image sensor and LCD display module, VC0558 can provide high-quality, low-latency video stream to most popular LCD panels with desired resolution and color depth. VC0558 can also capture size still image pictures and video clips and send them to mobile phone baseband, or receive any size of JPEG image or MJPEG video from baseband processor for LCD display. VC0558 can perform up to 8x digital zoom during preview, capture and post-view mode. VC0558 also has an integrated graphics engine that includes powerful functions of 2D graphics acceleration, image rotation, as well as special image effects.

VC0558 comes with 100-pin fpVGA packaged at 7mm by 7mm footprint.
