Overview

VC0568 is an innovative video processor chip that provides a complete mega-pixel camera solution for mobile phones. With direct interface to CMOS/CCD image sensor and LCD display module, VC0568 can provide high-quality, low-latency video stream to most popular LCD panels with desired resolution and color depth. VC0568 can also capture size still image pictures and video clips and send them to mobile phone baseband, or receive any size of JPEG image or MJPEG video from baseband processor for LCD display. VC0568 can perform up to 16x digital zoom during preview, capture and post-view mode. VC0568 also has an integrated graphics engine that includes powerful functions of 2D graphics acceleration, image rotation, as well as special image effects. Acting as a physical bridge between baseband processor/LCD controller and a complete camera function API, VC0568 provides an easy-to-integrate, quick-to-market embedded camera solution with superior quality to the high end camera phone market. VC0568 comes with 100-pin fpBGA package at 7.5mm x 7.5mm footprint.
