Simple & Secure Image Transmission
- Sends scanned image data over networks like scanners transmit data to PCs
- The adapter allows a maximum of 32 employees to share each Fujitsu workgroup scanner in a local area network – akin to sharing a network printer in office environments.
- This results in organizations using their Fujitsu document scanners more efficiently.
- Allows users to authenticate their identity via a simple password, or their fingerprints (latest biometric technology) for increased security.
2 Modes of Operation: 'Pull' or 'Push'
- PULL - Users may 'pull' images from the networked scanner in a similar way to a locally connected scanner i.e. from application (such as Adobe/ ScandAll), select scanner and set the scanning parameters within the TWAIN driver, place the documents on the scanner, authenticate either by fingerprint or PIN number, the scanned image will then be captured and delivered back to the respective application.
- PUSH - Users identify themselves at the networked scanner location, using either fingerprint or PIN number. This information is used by the FI-5000N to indicate the target PC. Press the ''scan'' button and the target application will open and the scanned image will be ''pushed'' to the target PC.
