Singapore, 28 November, 2006 — Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific today announces the launch of LifeBook Q2010 with built-in ‘M1 Broadband’ service provided by MobileOne Ltd (M1), the first of such collaboration in Singapore.
Amidst eager anticipation from mobile executives, early adopters and tech-savvy consumers, Fujitsu partnered M1 to pioneer the first notebook PC embedded with M1 Broadband in Singapore. The new M1 Broadband service, using M1’s 3G network and newly installed with High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA), will offer downlink speeds of 1.8 Mbps on LifeBook Q2010 with HSDPA.
The ultra-chic LifeBook Q2010 with M1 Broadband service has also cast a milestone in the evolution of mobile technology, setting consumers free from restrictions of fixed line, LAN cables and designated Wi-Fi hotspots.`

The LifeBook Q2010 has earlier made headlines in the region for its executive elegance and innovation. Boasting a waif-like profile of 19.9 millimeters and weighing barely a kilogram, this quintessential companion for the discerning professional is also the first in the world to have integrated dual digital array microphones technology to enable true mobile computing. With the introduction of the HSDPA-enabled version, the LifeBook Q2010 is set to induct the age of converged computing and telecommunication.

With a 3G SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card, consumers can access M1 Broadband with downlink speeds of up to 1.8Mbps, or 5 times faster than the current 3G and 20 times faster than GPRS. Fujitsu will continually upgrade our machines to keep in pace with developments in HSDPA and HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) to stay on the forefront of technological innovations.
The LifeBook Q2010 with HSDPA comes with a recommended retail price of S$5,888 (before an S$1,000 cash back rebate) which is valid from 28 November to 24 December. It will be available at SITEX 2006 from 30 November to 3 December, and from 6 December from authorized Fujitsu resellers. In addition, it will feature Fujitsu’s standard three-year warranty (1) .
