Fujitsu Thermal Printer Boasts Ultra High-Speed and Increased Functionality

Singapore, January 12, 2012 — Fujitsu Components Asia Pte. Ltd. has enhanced its FP-510 standalone thermal printer series with an ultra-high print speed and expanded functions to improve throughput efficiency and reduce wait times for receipt, ticket and label printing.

The new FP-510II printer combines a 300mm/sec print speed with optimized driver and firmware to produce a first-page in 1.9 seconds from data transfer initiation. A print reduction/resize function conserves paper, lowers operating costs and reduces paper waste.

The printer accommodates various paper widths up to 83mm wide and 0.075-0.150mm thick. Paper rolls up to 102mm maximum (outside diameter) can be used to minimize paper changes. A space-efficient, 128(W) x 207(D) x 145(H) mm footprint and front-feed media delivery minimizes occupied work space.

With a reliability rating of 70 million lines (MCBF), 150km of paper and 2 million cuts, the FP-510II is especially suited for long-term installations. Target applications include POS and kiosk systems, as well as gaming, industrial scales, voting and medical applications. A splash-proof casing offers protection in industrial or healthcare environments.

Standard features include 16 grey-scale or 2-color printing of characters, graphics and bar codes, 203dpi resolution (8dots/mm), 3MB user memory, an auto-cutter, and drop-in paper loading. Available interfaces, which are user changeable, include powered USB, combo RS232C + USB, and a LAN10/100 Base-T Ethernet interface.

The FP-510II will be available in late January 2012. Delivery is 14-18 weeks ARO.
