Fujitsu Offers New Mobile Printer Drivers and Software Development Kits for Its Handheld Thermal Printer
Singapore, January 8, 2007 — Fujitsu Components Asia Pte Ltd. today announced that it now offers new, downloadable drivers and Software Development Kits (SDK) for use with its mobile FTP-628WSL series thermal printer. The drivers are available from the Fujitsu Components website at http://www.fujitsu.com/sg/services/micro/components/printers/drivers.html.
Fujitsu offers drivers for the Windows® Pocket PC, and Windows Mobile®, Palm® and SymbianTM operating systems. Also featured are PrintBoy SDKs for Palm OS and Windows application developers. The drivers optimize the printer’s ability to print bar codes, data, graphics or special characters in mobile Windows applications. They also support the printer’s built-in Bluetooth® and IrDA wireless interfaces.
The Fujitsu FTP-628WSL is a handheld thermal printer designed for semi-rugged applications, such as route sales, medical, retail, test and measurement, and mobile receipt/invoice generation using 2-inch (58mm) wide thermal receipt paper stocks ranging from 60 to 100 microns thick. It lists for $480 and includes an AC adapter, battery, belt clip and paper roll.
