Fujitsu ETERNUS4000 Storage System Sets New World Record in Storage Performance

Manila, Philippines, December 22, 2006 – Fujitsu Philippines, Inc. today announced that the ETERNUS®4000 Model 500 storage system achieved the top position with the Storage Performance Council (SPC) in two benchmarks for mid-range disk array performance. The benchmark results, listed on the SPC website at www.storageperformance.org, attest to the Fujitsu-wide commitment to delivering greater value to customers.

The appraisal covers application software design, development and maintenance activities at WeServ.

Fujitsu and Tokyo Institute of Technology Announce the Development of New Material for 256Mbit FeRAM Using 65-nanometer Technology

Singapore, August 8, 2006 – Fujitsu Microelectronics Asia Pte Ltd (FMAL) today announced that Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo-Tech), Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd., and Fujitsu Limited have jointly developed a new material for a new generation of non-volatile Ferroelectric Random Access Memory (FeRAM). The material is a modified composition of Bismuth Ferrite (BiFeO3 or BFO), which enables data storage capacity up to five times greater than the materials currently used in FeRAM production.
