Fujitsu Palm Vein Authentication Technology Wins The Wall Street Journal 2005 Innovation Award for Security in Networks

Kawasaki, Japan, October 25, 2005 – Fujitsu Laboratories Limited today announced that its palm vein authentication technology has won The Wall Street Journal's Innovation Award, for Security in Networks. Fujitsu's palm vein authentication technology is a biometric technology that recognizes the unique vein pattern of a person's palm, as a highly secure means of personal identification.

Makati City, Metro Manila , August 1, 2005 – Fujitsu Philippines Inc. (FPI), a leading ICT systems integrator in the country, announced the appointment of Mr. Peter G. Tan as President and CEO of FPI effective August 1, 2005. Mr. Peter G. Tan is a graduate of Mapua Institute of Technology with a B.S. Electrical Engineering degree, and he was sent to the GKI Leadership Program of Fujitsu Limited, Japan in 2002. Mr. Tan joined FPI in 1981 and became President of Wesolv Open Computing Inc., a subsidiary of FPI, in August, 2000.
