The FFA in Manila Welcomes Chairman Akikusa of Fujitsu Limited

Jun San Juan of Philamlife succeeds Ed Dajao of Philippine Veterans Bank as FFA Chairman

Manila, March 07, 2008 — Naoyuki Akikusa, the chairman of Fujitsu Limited, together with other senior Fujitsu officials, visited Manila to take part in the third annual conference of the Fujitsu Family Association (FFA) on February 19, 2008. The highlight of the conference was the turnover of the chairmanship of the FFA from its outgoing chairman, Edgardo S. Dajao, Vice President of the Philippine Veterans Bank, to Floro P. “Jun” San Juan, Vice President of the Philippine American Life and General Insurance Company. Another highlight was the announcement by Peter Tan, the president and CEO of Fujitsu Philippines, Inc. (FPI), that FPI had achieved the certification of its Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) system to the ISO 20000-1:2005 International Standard.

Mr. Akikusa’s visit underscored the importance of Fujitsu’s operations in the Philippines, and sent a positive signal to the Fujitsu user community.

In his speech to the FFA, Mr. Akikusa described how Fujitsu drives “Field Innovation.” “Field Innovation is how Fujitsu calls the conversion of IT-enabled innovation into business value by the frontliners in an organization’s business, “ said Mr. Akikusa. “With the help of our specially –trained and experienced Field Innovators and various IT tools and best practices, Fujitsu proposes to help its customers to create innovations that result in ‘business solutions,’ and not just ‘better IT,’ that will solve their unique business problems,” he added.
