Fujitsu Philippines Launches the Fujitsu Knowledge Centre

Leading system integrator becomes a Cisco Training Partner

Manila, Philippines, December 05, 2006 — Fujitsu Philippines Inc. (FPI), a certified Cisco Training Partner, today formally launched the Fujitsu Knowledge Centre (FKC) at its head office in United Life Building in Makati City. The FKC is outfitted with brand new Cisco networking equipment making it one of the most updated Cisco Training Laboratories in the country.

With the FKC, FPI aims to bolster its ability to deliver high-quality education to its customers, employees and other interested parties. “Providing premium-quality technical education has always been one of FPI's major capabilities. For example, FPI's rigorous training programs have contributed to the CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert) certification of four of our employees. The new Fujitsu Knowledge Centre increases this capability and makes it more accessible and convenient for our corporate customers as well as to individuals who desire to strengthen their technical competence,” said Peter Tan, FPI president.

Commenting on the Cisco training lab, Tan added, “To address the great demand for knowledge in networking technology, we have made it a point to equip the Fujitsu Knowledge Centre with the latest products from Cisco Systems. All enrollees at the Fujitsu Knowledge Centre will be able to do extensive hands-on training using this equipment under the guidance of highly qualified instructors.”

Eric Sulit, the channels and marketing manager of Cisco Systems, Inc. Philippines Branch Office, expressed his support for FPI. “We are very pleased with this positive development which further solidifies the already strong partnership between Cisco and Fujitsu. The launching of the Fujitsu Knowledge Centre clearly demonstrates the commitment of FPI as a Cisco Training Partner,” he said.

The Fujitsu Knowledge Centre will accept local as well as international enrollees. Foreign students will appreciate the FKC’s close proximity to a wide assortment of hotels, malls and recreational centers.
