Car Infotainment Organizational Restructuring

Manila, July 29, 2004 — Recently, Fujitsu Ten Limited has established a new factory in China and is planning to put up a technical center in Europe as part of their aim to expand their current businesses all over the world. To keep at pace with these changes, our company, Fujitsu Ten Solutions Philippines, Inc., found the need to strengthen our design capability for both software and hardware.

This gave rise to the many changes in the Car Infotainment Department. Among these is the replacement of Mr. Sadahiro Miyoshi as the CID Manager and DS3 Manager last October 2004. Assuming these posts are Mr. Takao Kamai and Mr. Yoshitaka Yamamura, respectively.

Another change is the merging of FTSP and the FTCP Systems Engineering Section (SES) which was approved by FTL last July 29, 2004. Moreover, the SES is now a part of the Car Infotainment Department as the Development Section 4 under Mr. Tomoyuki Hamabe starting February 1, 2005. The Systems Engineering Section (SES) is in charge of the electrical and mechanical designs for the Audio products manufactured in FTCP. It was established 12 years ago.

The SES is composed of 2 main groups, the Electrical group and the Mechanical Group. The Electrical Group is further composed of the Aftermarket Team, OEM Team and the GBA Team. The Electrical Group is in charge of circuit and PCB design, evaluation, analysis and countermeasure for test production and production support during mass production. The Mechanical Group is in charge of mechanical drawings and production support. Joint projects with FTCP include the New Asian Standard in Audio (NASA) models for 1999 and 2000, Eclipse Low models, Global Best Audio (GBA) models and other OEM models for Toyota.
