Fujitsu Philippines and SSA Global Technologies Launch BPCS MAX, New ERP for SMEs

Manila, September 24, 2002 — SSA Global Technologies (SSA GT), leading provider of enterprise software solutions for the industrial sector, and Fujitsu Philippines, Inc. through its system-related services subsidiary, UniServ Systems International, Inc., SSA GT's partner in the Philippines, jointly launch Business Planning Control System (BPCS) MAX.

BPCS MAX is a fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for small to medium enterprises (SME) in make-to-order and discrete manufacturing and distribution companies.

The new ERP application is designed for fast implementation with the ability to adapt as a business evolves, leading to low-cost of ownership and immediate returns on investment (ROI).

"By providing an easily customized ERP suite for SMEs, SSA GT continues to demonstrate it's long-term value as a company committed to the manufacturing sector, no matter the size of the enterprise", said Fulvio Lana, General Manager, SSA GT South Asia.

"The SME make-to-order and discrete manufacturing sector in the Philippines requires an integrated solution, which is fast to implement, has ease of migration, Internet connectivity, full 24-hour support, and the capability to add extensions and enhancements as the business evolves and as the market place changes."

SSA GT's vast experience in the manufacturing sector and ERP makes BPCS MAX the value for money solution for small to medium make-to-order and discrete manufacturing enterprises wanting to improve business processes, make informed business decisions, and remain competitive.

"We were looking for an ERP solution that could cater to process-type industries to widen our market area coverage," said Felipe Manalang, FPI President and UniServ CEO. "In today's rapidly changing environment, management faces the need to continuously improve the performance of their organizations in order to survive and prosper. Whatever the concern - customer focus, productivity, quality, costs, or cycle time - management has to look at product or service performance, quality, productivity, and competitiveness. Implementing correct business processes ensures high scores in those parameters. We find BPCS MAX an appropriate solution for such concerns in the niche markets it serves."

Added Teodora A GevaƱa, President of UniServ, "BPCS MAX is a very good solution for the SME. With SSA GT's expertise in the industrial sector and the functionality and flexibility of BPCS MAX, the benefits are huge, varied, and makes great value for money. For this reason, we now have the first BPCS MAX customer here in the Philippines."

Key Benefits of BPCS MAX include:
