Innove Communications, Inc.
Phase 1 F-MODE migration project for Innove Communications
From year 2003, production for the reel-type magnetic tapes had already stopped. Innove Communications have realized that in the near future their existing reel magnetic tapes would deteriorate and will not be able to capture the “call records” from the Fujitsu branded FETEX-150 narrowband switch. The calls billing are referred to the call records captured from the switch. Due to the dilemma being faced by Innove Communications, FAPL Pte Limited Singapore have develop a solution they called as FMODE (Flexible Maintenance Operations Data Environment). The solution consisted of using 3 custom-made industrial PC terminals for every FETEX-150 system to replace the previous 6-unit MTU (Magnetic Tape Unit) configuration. FPI Telecoms paved the way for FTSP their professional services in the implementation of the project. The implementation started late of August 2004 and was smoothly completed by late September 2004.
(Got to know: The full turn-key of the project was projected up to Y2008 were the final implementation will be the implementation of the FMODE server to network all the FMODE clients. In turn it will centralize the data collection from all FETEX-150 systems of Innove communications for ease of management.)
