Overseas Operations

FCPP operates in a network of Fujitsu companies located in Japan and other neighboring countries. Fujitsu has 2 main HDD manufacturing facilities. FCPP manufactures 3.5” HDDs - used in personal computers and servers - in the Philippines while Fujitsu Thailand Corporation (FTC) manufactures 2.5”HDDs - used in mobile computers - in Thailand. These 2 production bases are supported by a network of Fujitsu companies in the areas of research and development and supply of critical parts.

FCPP also manufactures Magneto- Resistive (MR) Heads and serves as the global Field Repair Center of all Fujitsu hard disk drives. Thus, FCPP likewise supplies FTC with MR Heads and provides field repair support for FTC manufactured HDDs.

Correspondingly, other Fujitsu companies supply critical components to FCPP and FTC. Yamagata Fujitsu (YFL) in Japan manufactures media while Fujitsu Vietnam (FCV) manufactures Printed Circuits Board Assemblies (PCBA). Both YFL and FCV, respectively provide the media and PCBAs needed by FCPP and FTC.

Lastly, Fujitsu Nagano (FJN) in Japan serves as support facility to FCPP and FCV conducting research and development activities in support of FCPP’s HDD and MR Head manufacturing operations and FCV’s PCBA production activities.
