Fujitsu New Zealand announces new scholarship
Wellington, 6 April, 2004 — Fujitsu New Zealand has announced the inception of the Wellington College Fujitsu New Zealand Scholarship. The NZ$3000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a Year 13 student from Wellington College who intends to study Computer Science or Information Technology at a university or polytechnic in New Zealand.
The inaugural award was presented in the Scholar’s Assembly at Wellington College on February 17, 2004 in the presence of former New Zealand Governor-General Sir Michael Hardie Boys. The recipient of the award was James Robertson, who has just completed Year 13. James has since enrolled at the University of Canterbury to study for a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree, majoring in Computer Science and Robotics.
