Fujitsu appoints New Zealand General Manager

Fujitsu has strengthened its local New Zealand operations with the appointment of Joanne Healey as General Manager, New Zealand. In this role, Joanne will be responsible for growing and developing Fujitsu’s New Zealand operations, which comprises some 200 staff and annual revenues of approximately NZ$60 million.

"We are very pleased to welcome Joanne Healey to the Fujitsu team," said Rod Vawdrey, Chief Executive Officer, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand. “Joanne’s appointment is a step towards increasing Fujitsu's presence in the New Zealand market, which has experienced siginificant growth in recent times. We believe the strength of Joanne’s customer and partner relationships and knowledge of the local market will further enhance Fujitsu's value proposition for New Zealand customers.”

Joanne Healey, General Manager, Fujitsu New Zealand said, “I was attracted to Fujitsu by the sheer breadth of its capabilities and opportunities for further growth in the New Zealand market. I was also impressed by the strength of Fujitsu’s strategic alliances and the global resources, such as significant research and development, that support the New Zealand business. Fujitsu’s focus on innovation ensures we keep our customers abreast of the latest technology trends and how to translate these into real business outcomes.”

Joanne joins Fujitsu from HP, where she was the National Commercial Sales Manager, Solutions Partner Organisation. Based in Wellington, Joanne led a team of channel sales representatives, working closely with HP’s reseller partners to grow business in the region.

Joanne’s career in the IT and services industry in New Zealand spans more than 15 years, including senior management roles at Computerland New Zealand, a tier one service, solution and product reseller, and Telecom New Zealand. At Telecom, Joanne led a team of technology managers to develop and implement a strategic approach to deploying technology solutions for Telecom’s Wellington corporate customers.

In 2005 Joanne completed an Executive MBA through Massey Universtity shortly after having her first child.

Joanne’s appointment follows the return of Joel O’Halloran, the previous Fujitsu New Zealand General Manager, to a senior management position at Fujitsu Australia.
