Fujitsu supports Australia-Japan Year of Exchange

2006 marks the Australia-Japan Year of Exchange which commemorates the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Basic Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Australia and Japan. This bilateral exchange is a joint initiative between both countries governments.

To celebrate the Year of Exchange there will be a number of events throughout the year in areas such as the arts, culture, government, business, education, science and technology, and sport and tourism. As a major sponsor of the promotional activities planned, Fujitsu is helping to build on the strong relationship of friendship, cooperation and prosperity between Japan and Australia.

Fujitsu Forum, which recently took place in Tokyo, is one such event. Later this year, Fujitsu together with the Bell Shakespeare Company, will be hosting a signature, executive event that will bring together performers, global executives from Japan and Australia and prominent Government leaders to collaborate and celebrate the Australia- Japan Year of Exchange.

Then in November, a major publication entitled Australia-Japan: Friendship and Prosperity, will be released in honour of the milestones celebrated in 2006.
