Fujitsu hosts charity golf day with Variety, The Children's Charity
Fujitsu guests, including customers and alliance partners, were joined by celebrities including singer John Paul-Young, actor Michael Caton, cricketer Dominic Thornley, V8 racing car driver Jose Fernandez and entertainer Maria Venuti, each of whom showed off their golfing prowess during the tournament. Guests were also treated to an exhibition by professional golfer, Brett Ogle, who provided some useful tips on how to enhance their game.
Craig Stamp from Bausch & Lomb, John Goldrick of SAP, Rene Frei of Open Telecommunications and Andrew Hungerford of Avenue Capital Management, must have listened closely to Brett’s advice as they went on to win the overall tournament. Members of the winning team were each presented with a Bonsai tree by Rod Vawdrey, the CEO of Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, at a charity dinner and auction held after the tournament.

Fujitsu and Variety, The Children's Charity, would like to thank its supporters including Acer, Beef Eater, Bell Shakespeare, CA, Cisco Systems, Citrix, EMC, HP, IBM, Ingram Micro, Lenovo, Microsoft, Nokia, Oracle, SAP, Southern Cross Sports Marketing, Sun Microsystems, Symantec, Symbol and Vignette for their generous support.
The Fujitsu and Variety Golf Day marks the beginning of an exciting relationship for Variety with Fujitsu, who has taken up the challenge of raising funds and offering our services to children with special needs through the Fujitsu Community Reach Program.
