Fujitsu Australia signs $75 million IT contract renewal with Western Australia Department of Health – The Western Australia Department of Health has extended its information management alliance contract with Fujitsu Australia for another five years. Under the renewed contract, worth $75 million over the next five years to members of the InfoHEALTH Alliance consortium, Fujitsu Australia will oversee an applications and infrastructure overhaul to support more patient-friendly health services.

Fujitsu Wins Three Year Support Contract with Archives New Zealand – Fujitsu, a global leader in IT services, has signed a three year contract to provide Archives New Zealand with third level support for its servers and network infrastructure. The announcement underpins the launch last week of Archway, Archives New Zealand’s new online system for documenting government records.

Scan in your own trolley with Fujitsu U-Scan Shopper – Consumers can say goodbye to long checkout lines and hello to the new face of retail customer service: the U-Scan Shopper. Developed by Fujitsu, the U-Scan Shopper features a wireless, trolley-mounted computer that gives shoppers information and scan-as-you-shop convenience as they move through a store.

Tredex ensures data security and high-availability with Fujitsu Eternus3000 SAN – Australian paper recycling company Tredex has purchased a Fujitsu Eternus3000 storage area network (SAN) to safeguard its business data and support a new online transaction initiative for which high availability is critical. It is the first Fujitsu Eternus3000 sale in Australia.
