Rod Vawdrey

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Rod Vawdrey, Fujitsu Australia & New Zealand

Rod joined Fujitsu Australia as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director in 2003, responsible for regional operations across Australia and New Zealand. Since joining, Rod has implemented a strategy to integrate Fujitsu’s business lines in Australia and New Zealand; broaden the capability set; and align its’ services to better meet the needs of an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Rod has over 25 years experience in the ICT industry, working with leaders in State and Federal Government, Health, Education, Retail, Financial Services, Telecommunications, Utilities and Manufacturing. In his immediate past role, Rod was the Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing – Retail Division NCR, with P&L responsibility with several thousand staff across four regions: Americas, EMEA, Japan and Asia Pacific.

Through his association with industry bodies, Rod passionately believes that by supporting programs that focus on developing ICT skills will lead to an improved competitive positioning in the global ICT world stage.

Tom Dissing

PRINCIPAL
Tom Dissing, Fujitsu Australia Limited

Tom Dissing is a Principal in Fujitsu’s Consulting team, where he leads the Strategy Practice across Australia and New Zealand. Tom has worked as a consultant in Europe, Asia and Australia and has more than 15 years experience in strategic management consulting. Prior to joining Fujitsu, Tom has worked for Gartner and McKinsey. Tom has assisted several Australian government and commercial clients leverage innovation to realise significant cost savings and service improvement, including the development of business cases.

Joel O’Halloran

MANAGING DIRECTOR
Joel O'Halloran, Fujitsu New Zealand

Joel is the Managing Director of Fujitsu New Zealand, with overall responsibility for the performance of Fujitsu’s operations in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Joel looks after a sales team of 15 employees who are responsible for the identification, introduction and ongoing promotion of hardware and software solutions, Infrastructure Services and Enterprise Application Services to Fujitsu’s clients. Additionally, Joel has responsibility for all customer service delivery and internal shared services functions.

Joel joined the Fujitsu Group in April 2004, as National Sales Manager, Customer Services. In March 2005 Joel joined Fujitsu New Zealand as Managing Director.

Joel is recognised for his broad industry knowledge and experience in both the Retail and Information Technology industry. He has an extensive software and services background and has wide-ranging experience in leading sales and services teams. Prior to joining Fujitsu, Joel held the role of Sales Director, South East Asia for NCR’s Retail Solutions Division.

Joel holds a Bachelor of Business from Victoria University in Melbourne.

Lee Boell

LEE BOELL
Consulting Director, Fujitsu New Zealand

Lee Boell is the Director of Fujitsu Consulting in New Zealand, consulting primarily to both the Finance and Telecommunications sectors in the areas of customer value strategies, customer service and supporting technology solutions.

Lee has over 20 years experience in the Financial Services and ICT Sectors. He began his career in banking. His roles since have included a range of undertakings, through a broad spectrum of financial services sector, utilities and telecommunications and public sector organisations. Lee has worked with household names in America, Britain, China, Australia and New Zealand. During this time he has worked for leading consultancies and addressed the broad people, process and technology elements of business transformation and change. He is passionate about driving real value from investment in business programs and advocates clear strategy, strong governance and a focus on benefits realisation as key determinates of success.

When not consulting, Lee enjoys the rural pleasures of his block in Coatesville, north of Auckland, where his partner and he keep a stable of dressage horses, Suffolk sheep and various other animals.

Geoff Dangerfield

MR GEOFF DANGERFIELD
CEO of The Ministry of Economic Development

Geoff is Chief Executive of the New Zealand Ministry of Economic Development. The Ministry advises the Government on its economic development strategy, industry development and innovation, energy, communications and infrastructure policy and investment, and business and competition policy. Its operational activities include the Companies Office, the Intellectual Property Office, the allocation of mineral and oil prospecting rights, and the management of the radio spectrum.

Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive, Geoff was Deputy Secretary of The Treasury, responsible for the management of the Government’s foreign and domestic debt portfolio, the Government’s commercial interests in Crown corporations and State-owned enterprises, and the development of the public sector financial management regime.

He has worked in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet as an advisor to the Prime Minister on fiscal and economic policy. In the late 1980s he managed the corporatisation and privatisation of State trading activities for The Treasury. Earlier he worked in the Ministry of Works and Development on infrastructure and resource development projects.

He has a Master of Science degree in resource management. He is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management, and is currently the Chair of the Public Service Leadership Development Centre.
