1. Personal / Professional Development

Education Assistance
Financial support is available to assist you with the completion of approved relevant tertiary studies. In addition, leave is available for residential schools and examinations associated with approved courses.

Development Loan Materials
Professional development resources are available on loan from the training resources library on request from Human Resources.

Industry Events and Conferences
Employees are encouraged to attend or participate as presenters at conferences, technical meetings and industry events as a way of continuing professional development.

Fujitsu On-line Induction Program
The Corporate Induction Program at Fujitsu will be the first of many learning and development experiences throughout your career with us. It comprises dynamic online presentations and informal on-the-job training delivered by Managers and Human Resources. It has been designed to provide you with a solid understanding of the business, what makes Fujitsu unique and why it is "A Great Place to Work".

Training
Fujitsu supports the development of its employees by sponsoring attendance at internal and external training / conference events including professional, personal and management development, and technical skills training.

NetCampus
All employees at Fujitsu have access to one of the largest e-learning libraries in the world. Fujitsu's Net Campus provides a range of technical and business courses for employees to participate in to support their professional development.

Membership of Professional Societies
Membership and participation in relevant professional societies is encouraged. Fujitsu reimburses the cost of annual membership fees for a range of recognised professional bodies.

Performance Appraisal and Career Development Planning
Performance Appraisals are conducted annually for each employee and are based on the integration of corporate objectives with individual goals. The annual appraisal is also an opportunity to review and assess career objectives and training needs.

2. Working Environment

Fujitsu operates around Australia and New Zealand in a variety of offices ranging from inner city locations to outer suburb "corporate parks". Open plan accommodation in modern workstations is the general standard of accommodation in offices and laboratories. Each location has its own set of amenities which may include some recreational facilities. Common rooms for meals and relaxation during breaks are provided at most sites.

3. Recognition Awards

Recognising the efforts of our employees as individuals and in teams and the contribution they make to the success of Fujitsu is an important facet of the Company's Cultural Values. Recognition Awards are made at four levels:

Achievement Award
The "Dinner for Two" is usually awarded for carrying out responsibilities in an outstanding manner over a period of time or for completing or contributing to a project assigned in an outstanding manner.

Professional Performance Award
The Professional Performance Award is given to employees who either achieve a substantially high level of performance beyond that normally expected or whose achievement brings demonstrable benefits to Fujitsu.

Weekend Away Award
This award is in recognition of the importance of our "Life Balance" cultural value and will be awarded when an individual's ability to maintain "Life Balance" has been affected.

CEO Award
This is the highest recognition award available and is presented to individuals or teams whose outstanding achievement has directly contributed to company profitability.

Service Awards
To recognise continuous service with the global Fujitsu organisation, service awards are presented to employees for every five completed years of service with Fujitsu or one of its related companies. Service Awards are presented on Foundation Day (see below).

Recruitment Bonus
Employees who refer successful candidates may be eligible for a recruitment bonus payment.

4. Social Events

Kick-off
This event is primarily to kick-off the new- year. Various members from the Executive Management Team along with other senior managers present the previous year's financial results and Company's business plan for the year ahead.

Foundation Day
Foundation Day, 20th June, is the day Fujitsu was founded in Australia. Employees from all locations celebrate this day at an event held either on or off-site. Service Awards are also presented to employees on this day. These events are informative and fun, and provide the opportunity to mingle with colleagues and friends in a social setting.

Social Club
Fujitsu provides its employees with the opportunity to be part of the Social Club which operates a number of social activities and events over the course of the year.

Social Sports Teams
Participation in and sponsorship of social sports teams including Dragon boating, volleyball, netball, indoor soccer and touch rugby are also actively encouraged by Fujitsu.

Other Social Events
Each Fujitsu location is empowered to provide a wide range of social activities on a regular basis.

5. Benefits

Flexible Remuneration Arrangements
Fujitsu remunerates employees on a total package basis known as Total Remuneration Cost (TRC). There are a number of flexible options available to our employees including salary sacrifice superannuation contributions, motor vehicles and car allowances.

Death and Disability Insurance
For all permanent employees working 20 hours per week or more Fujitsu provides a free Life, Temporary and Permanent Disability Insurance which offers generous compensation in the event of death or disability.

Parental Leave
Fujitsu offers a period of paid Parental Leave (up to 6 weeks) for qualifying employees.

Business Casual Dress Policy
To promote a comfortable and relaxed work environment, Fujitsu encourages staff to dress in business casual attire in all situations where this is appropriate.

Employee Assistance Program
This program provides free professional and confidential counselling and referral services to all Fujitsu New Zealand employees and their families.

Westpac Corporate Connections
Corporate Connections is based around a Premium Option Home Loan from Westpac. They also offer reduced interest rates on a range of financial services products.

Staff Discounts (Computers and Fujitsu General Products)
There is a facility available to employees to purchase Fujitsu branded and Fujitsu General products at discounted prices. Payments can be arranged through a salary deduction available over periods of up to 6 months for Fujitsu products, with an up front payment needed for Fujitsu General products.

Health Funds
Payroll deductions for all major health funds are available.

UniMed Health Insurance
Payroll deductions for UniMed health coverage are available for staff upon joining Fujitsu as a permanent staff member.
