In 2008 Fujitsu consolidated its existing environmental projects into a coherent strategy initially run from our consulting unit, leveraging our skills in strategy, change management and benefits realisation.

With its new Community Relationship Management system in place, the Country Fire Authority is confident that thousands of community members will benefit from having ready access to the safety meeting and program information they need to help them in the upcoming bushfire season. CFA also expects greater efficiency in allocating resources to the community.

Through its ongoing relationship with Fujitsu as its managed IT services provider, the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD) has achieved a number of specific outcomes central to its vision as well as maintained the stability of its IT infrastructure.

Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH), Brisbane, is one of Queensland’s leading teaching and research hospitals whose 5,000 staff care for more than 74,000 admissions each year. Approximately 20 per cent of patients require treatment for wounds. PAH’s management is committed to reduce wound heal times for patients, lower the cost of care and maximise the deployment of scarce wound care specialist resources.

Sydney Water expects to save a considerable amount each year and further improve maintenance response times, thanks to a new Field Resource Management (FRM) solution implemented by Fujitsu. The new $20 million system increases productivity and optimises asset management by improving the way schedulers allocate maintenance jobs to mobile crews, who communicate via wireless portable computers.

Victoria’s prosperity depends on a secure water supply for its homes, farms, environment and industry. The Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) is the leading State Government agency for the sustainable management of water resources and catchments across the state, including climate change, bushfire prevention, parks and other public lands, forests as well as biodiversity and ecosystem conservation.

Toyota Australia already has an excellent reputation for their sustainable approach to business. In 2005 they developed their five year Environment Plan and have been reporting their progress each subsequent year in their annual Sustainability Report.
