Sybase and Fujitsu commence partnership to deliver cloud-based managed mobility application services to enterprises in Australia and New Zealand

Offers customers a single managed platform for mobile applications

Sybase Australia, an SAP company, today announced it has signed a partnership agreement with Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand for enterprise managed mobility solutions. Fujitsu will host mobile solutions powered by industry-leading Sybase® Managed Mobility Open a new window technologies and offer them on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) basis to customers in the Australian and New Zealand marketplace.

Sybase Managed Mobility enables enterprises to integrate mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets with existing SAP® applications as a service, providing speed-to-value with minimal setup time and no infrastructure requirements. Fujitsu Managed Mobility will enable productivity apps from SAP--available on the Apple App store and the Android marketplace--to integrate with SAP Business Suite software. Fujitsu will also offer integration services and custom development as needed for customers of the service.

Fujitsu’s cloud will provide the infrastructure for the solution and leverage Sybase’s enterprise device management platform, providing a solution for CIOs trying to manage the increasing number of mobile workers, devices and applications in their corporate IT environments.
