Fujitsu Introduces New Desktop Scanners, S300 & S510

Fujitsu Australia Limited

Sydney, October 23, 2007

Fujitsu Australia today announced two new desktop colour scanners, the S300 and the S510, which both provide support for the Windows Vista operating system.

The S300 is the smallest scanner available from Fujitsu’s scanner range (284mm wide x 77mm high x 95 mm deep) and it can be used as a mobile unit that can be easily taken around for any scanning requirements via Bus-power operation. It is suitable for branches/small offices and a general office environment, providing 8 pages per minute or 16 images per minute.

The S510, which can scan in duplex (both sides at once), can handle large volumes of documents from business cards up to A3 (18 A4 pages per minute) and can be used instead of a photocopier. The “Quick Menu” function enables users to easily attach scanned images to email messages and lets users scan editable images directly to Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel files.

The S300 and S500 can also be networked for workgroups through the recently introduced Fujitsu network scanner, FI-6000NS, so people can share documents effectively and easily.

S300 Features

  • Extremely small footprint, eliminating need for additional space
  • Effectively digitise your corporate desktop environment
  • A mobile unit that can easily be taken to other office locations, client sites etc for any scanning requirements
  • Allows for Bus-power operation for mobility purposes

S510 Features

  • User friendly ‘one-touch’ scanning and PDF creation of files
  • Easily implemented desktop solution with no need for formal user training
  • Scans a variety of document sizes from business cards to A3 documents
  • Compact and smaller than an A4 notebook computer
  • No need for a photocopier to duplicate paper documents
  • Images can be scanned for editing to any Microsoft office applications
