Caltex Australia chooses Fujitsu as its business technology service provider for three years

Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand today announced that it has been appointed by Caltex Australia as its services and technology outsourcing provider for the next three years.

Effective from 1 July 2004, the agreement sees Fujitsu delivering a broad array of integrated technology services to Caltex including full support for servers, desktop PCs and LANs. Fujitsu will maintain a standard operating environment across all desktop and server systems as well as providing help desk support, IT facilities management and consulting services.

Fujitsu will deliver innovation and service improvement across the full spectrum of Caltex's business technology requirements by incorporating best-practice technology service management methodologies coupled with leading-edge consulting services.

"Fujitsu is delighted to be delivering business technology services that provide Caltex with an ongoing competitive advantage," said Rod Vawdrey, Chief Executive Officer, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand.

The current technology partnership is a three-year agreement with an option to extend for up to a further two years.
