Fujitsu's integrated customer services strategy and aggressive market-share growth plans took another step forward today with the announcement of major appointments to the Company's leadership team. This follows the recent merger between Fujitsu and DMR Consulting to create one of the region's largest services companies.
"These appointments represent significant progress in realising Fujitsu's strategy to deliver end-to-end business, communications and technology solutions for our customers. Our new integrated offering will drive aggressive expansion in Fujitsu's market share," said Rod Vawdrey, Chief Executive Officer, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand.

John Matic - Executive General Manager Commercial Sector Sales
John Matic has a strong profile in both consumer and corporate markets. His sales and marketing background includes systems development, project management and implementation. Most recently Chief Development Officer for Internet company Comindico, John was responsible for marketing, strategy and merger and acquisition activity.
His previous experience includes overall responsibility for all revenue generation activity as Sales and Marketing Director at PowerTel Limited, a consulting role with News Corporation, and a foundation position as AAPT's Director of Customer Operations. This was followed by a promotion to Group Director, Commercial and Consumer, where John managed annual revenues of A$994 million, 600 staff and 750,000 customers for AAPT smartchat.
Howard Powell - Executive General Manager Public Sector Sales
Howard Powell has a long track record in leading successful sales teams. He has a deep understanding of the government sector and well-developed networks at both state and federal levels. He was most recently National General Manager at Telstra, responsible for all Federal and ACT Government business. In this capacity he managed sales, new business development and service delivery for over 600 government entities with a revenue base of A$400 million.
A Canberra veteran since 1983, Howard previously led government sales teams for IBM Global Services Australia and Computer Power Group.
Paul Fleming - Executive General Manager Business Solutions
Paul Fleming joins Fujitsu from CSC Australia, where he was most recently Vice President of Enterprise Business Solutions. Managing more than 1,300 staff nationwide, his responsibilities extended to all aspects of customer service delivery in the systems integration, e-Business, knowledge management and consulting arenas. Before joining CSC, Paul held senior positions with Digital and Oracle.
With over 20 years' experience in IT companies, Paul is accustomed to managing fast-growing technical services organisations to meet the needs of customers ranging from expanding medium-sized businesses to some of Australia's largest enterprises and government departments.
As Executive General Manager Business Solutions, Paul will lead Fujitsu's Management Consulting, Infrastructure Outsourcing, Application Development, Project Management and Systems Delivery areas.

These three appointments complete the new Fujitsu executive team, complementing the recent confirmation of Dan O'Hara as Executive General Manager Customer Services and Alistair Latham as Executive General Manager Platforms and Systems.
