Fujitsu performance testing of ETERNUS4000 model 500 storage system based on SPC Benchmark-2™, the Storage Performance Council's latest industry storage benchmark, has achieved world-class results. (*Note 1)
SPC2 benchmark is designed to show an aggregate performance of the storage subsystem for the large-sized, sequential access environment.
SPC-2 consists of three distinct workload profiles :
Large file processing,
Large database queries,
and Video on Demand.
ETERNUS4000 model 500 demonstrates the world's best record as a mid-range class storage system in both SPC-2 MBPS™ at 1,985.63 and Price- Performance record at $114.72/MBPS (*Note 2).
The Executive Summary and Full Disclosure Report posted November 2, 2006 are available on the Storage Performance Council web site (official approval is subject to a 60-day review period).
