Munich, februari 16, 2016 At Mobile World Congress 2016, Fujitsu will showcase its Internet of Things (IoT) technologies as a business-growth enabler for digitally-balanced enterprises. Under the theme Human Centric Innovation in Action, the company will demonstrate how its ground-breaking IoT solutions play an essential role in the digital transformation of business processes across a wide range of industries.

Fujitsu defines digital transformation as bridging the digital disconnect through the seamless integration of new front-end experiences with processes and information at the core operational level. The company believes that digital transformation is fundamental to business growth of every organization, however achieving it requires enterprises to be digitally-enabled from end to end. Mobility plays a central role to achieve this – from workplace solutions, wearable technologies and sensors, to cloud computing. That’s why technology needs to be where the people are – not the other way round – to support and empower people, naturally and unobtrusively.

“European business leaders agree that digital transformation is critical to their future success; however, the majority also believe that the whole digitalization process is a gamble,1” says Dr Alex Bazin, Vice President & Head of IoT Digital Business Platform, Fujitsu Technology Solutions. “Based on a human-centric approach and a comprehensive portfolio of products, solutions and services that together put the company at the forefront of digital excellence, Fujitsu helps enterprises to improve their odds for digital success. At Mobile World Congress we will show how IoT supports this goal.”

Notes to editors

1 Walking the digital tightrope: A study into the digital maturity of organizations across EMEIA was commissioned by Fujitsu and carried out by independent research company, Censuswide, in October 2015. The study covered the UK, Germany, Spain and Sweden and consisted of two parts:
  • A quantitative survey of 643 IT decision makers in the retail, finance, manufacturing and public sectors, examining how many companies are exploring the adoption of a two-speed IT strategy; the factors driving this adoption and the barriers to its success
  • A series of qualitative interviews with 16 CEOs in the same countries and sectors
At the heart of digital transformation is Fujitsu’s new digital business platform MetaArc that brings together cloud, mobile, big data, IoT, and other advanced technologies with the knowledge and expertise of Fujitsu's subject matter experts. Furthermore, Fujitsu also provides the network infrastructure to cope with digital demands to ensure scalability and deployments of its solutions.
