Research and Development

FTA has started conducting R&D activity in Malaysia commencing 1998. It will play an even more important role over the next few years. This is one important mission of a MSC status company. One main activity would be the customization of software and hardware developments to complement our engineering supporting role in Malaysia and then in the South East Asian region.

FTA plans to enforce R&D activities in the following arenas:

• Systems Designing Software Tools for SDH network
• Regional Customization Of Network Management System
• Software/Firmware and Hardware Adaptation Design
• Transmission Systems Design
