ATM-PON

ATM-PON Access System mainly provides multimedia services and offers cost-effective operation using a simple configuration for small and medium-size businesses and for home use.

This system consists of an ONU/DSU installed at the user's premises, an OLT installed at the node office, and an optical subscriber line connecting the ONU/DSU and OLT. This system also provides ATM lines, POTS and CATV, etc.

Maximum set up connection:
- 256 connections per subscriber line interface (VPC + VCC <= 256)
- 4096 connections per Interoffice and Intraoffice interface (VPC + VCC <= 4096)

OAM function:
The following functions (F4 and F5) specified in ITU-T I.610 shall be supported

• AIS and RDI
• Performance monitoring
• Loopback (only subscriber interface)

ATM function:
Usage Parameter Control as specified in ITU-T I.371 QOS: 2 class (DBR, UBR)
