Fast Cycle RAM

The performance and functionality of devices are being enhanced swiftly, which foster the emergency of the ubiquitous information society. This involves a continuously growing bit demand for RAM devices. A continuous increase in the demand for RAM is found, in particular, not only in the PC market as the conventional driving force for demanding RAM products but also in the market of embedded devices such as portable devices, network systems, digital OA devices, digital consumer electronics, and vehicle-mounted AV devices. To satisfy these market trends, Fujitsu provides application-oriented families of FCRAM (Fast Cycle Random Access Memory) products as ASM (application specific memory) devices including "Consumer FCRAM" and "Mobile FCRAM" based on Fujitsu's proprietary, high-performance and low-power consumption RAM cores (FCRAM cores) and high-speed interface technologies (including DDR, SDR, and SRAM) targeted at main applications such as mobile telephones, PDAs, DVCs, and DSCs, thereby meeting the needs for lower power consumption, higher speed, smaller size, and higher density. Fujitsu is producing Mobile FCRAM™ products (3V/1.8V, 16 Mbit, 32 Mbit, 64 Mbit, 128 Mbit, random access mode, page mode, burst mode) conforming to COSMORAM specifications (Rev.1.0, Rev.2.1, Rev.3.0). Moving forward, we are planning to develop low power consumption, high speed, high density Mobile FCRAM products conforming to COSMORAM Rev.4.0 and Rev.5.0 specifications. In addition to supplying FCRAM devices as standalone products, Fujitsu exploits its wafer thinning, wafer level burn-in, and Built-In Self Test (BIST) technologies to provides comprehensive system solutions. These include system-in-a-package (SiP) solutions and FCRAMs, as well as Known Tested Die (KTD) chips and wafers for embedding in compact stacked MCP/MCM for flash memory and logic chips. With customer focus as its number one priority, Fujitsu will continue meeting the increasingly diversified needs of its customers.
