- Most efficient in color/ duplex scanning: Scanning speed is steadily high 60 ppm/ 120ipm @ 200 dpi regardless of color/ grayscale/ binary, or simplex/ duplex documents.
- A high speed Ultra Wide SCSI interface supports fast data transmission, even of high resolution image data.
Superior Paper Handling
- FI-4860C is equipped with a 500 sheet configurable Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) that has the ability to scan paper size ranging from A7 to A3.
- Input elevator-style hopper allows easier paper feeding
- For smooth feeding, the ADF is equipped with ultrasonic double feed detection to detect and stop 2 sheets of paper being feed simultaneously
- Automatic length detection conserves file space by eliminating excess white space when scanning batches of mixed-length documents.
High Quality Image
- To improve OCR and text recognition, unwanted boxes and lines on the forms can be eliminated through red, green or blue dropout colors.
- It uses high resolution CCD technology allowing scanning resolutions up to 400dpi. This is ideal for OCR applications that require high quality images for optimum recognition rates.
Options
- Pre Imprinter unit: adds indexing and tracking information to the front side of documents prior to scanning.
- Post Imprinter unit: stamp at the back of each scanned document serving as further proof that all documents have been scanned.
- Option to purchase the Thin Paper Kit that allows you to scan very thin, challenging paper confidently.
Bundled Software (Twain/ ISIS)
- Adobe Acrobat Standard 6.0 - with OCR functions to create searchable PDF, so that documents can be retrieved using keyword search.
- ScandAll 21 allows you to scan to preview/ PDF/ email/ designated files in one seamless operation.
- Preview mode allows immediate display of scanned results. Settings can then be changed or saved to apply to a whole batch of documents.
