Fujitsu and Tokyo Institute of Technology Announce the Development of New Material for 256Mbit FeRAM Using 65-nanometer Technology

Singapore, August 8, 2006 – Fujitsu Microelectronics Asia Pte Ltd (FMAL) today announced that Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo-Tech), Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd., and Fujitsu Limited have jointly developed a new material for a new generation of non-volatile Ferroelectric Random Access Memory (FeRAM). The material is a modified composition of Bismuth Ferrite (BiFeO3 or BFO), which enables data storage capacity up to five times greater than the materials currently used in FeRAM production.

Fujitsu Group Continuously Supports “Fujitsu Group Malaysia Eco-Forest Park”

Kuala Lumpur, December 2, 2005 – Fujitsu Malaysia Group of Companies continuously support the 5th reforestation volunteer activity implemented by Fujitsu Limited in “Fujitsu Group Malaysia Eco-Forest Park” at Kinarut, Sabah from November 24 to 27 for 4 days. Malaysia's forests have been decimated by slash-burn agriculture, commercial deforestation and palm-oil plantations, therefore restoring the forest has become an urgent concern. In view of the increased ruined area in Kinarut, Sabah due to commercial deforestation, forest fires, vegetation area other than the species endemic to the land, Sabah Forestry Development Authority(“SAFODA”) has been trying to recover original forest with support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (“JICA”) in the development of tree-planting technology and training of technicians.

Kuala Lumpur, January 12, 2004 – Fujitsu Malaysia Sdn Bhd today announced that it has established the "Fujitsu Group Malaysia Eco-Forest Park" in Sabah State, Malaysia. This activity is one of overseas forestation activities as Fujitsu Group's international environmental contribution activities. More than 10,000 Fujitsu Group employees contributed to the operating fund of this activity, and forestation activity is carried out by an umbrella organization that includes Fujitsu Limited and its group companies and the Fujitsu Labor Union, with support from the Malaysian government, and the Japan International Forestry Promotion & Cooperation Center (JIFPRO).

Fujitsu Unveils World's First Multi-Chip Package with Burst Mode Functionality

Singapore, June 2, 2003 – Fujitsu Limited today announced the development of a new memory product for next-generation mobile phones and other high-performance mobile applications, the MB84SR6H5K5K1, a multi-chip package (MCP) combining Mobile Fast Cycle RAM (FCRAM*1) and burst mode(*2) flash memory. Fujitsu is shipping samples of the new chip package starting today.

Fujitsu Unveils New Flash Memory Products

Singapore, April 10, 2003 – Fujitsu Limited today announced the release of two new low-voltage (1.8V) flash-memory products that respond to mobile communications devices' growing needs for greater storage capacity, high-speed operation and lower power consumption. The MBMN29BS12DH is a NOR-type 128-Mbit product with burst mode functionality for use in mobile devices. The MBM29SL800TE and MBM29SL800BE are NOR-type 8-Mbit products employing Super Chip Size Package (Super-CSPTM) packaging technology for use in wireless communications modules, such as Bluetooth, and for ultra-compact mobile devices.

Fujitsu Releases New 32-bit RISC Microcontroller, the MB91302

Singapore, April 8, 2003 – Fujitsu Limited today announced that it has jointly developed with Fujitsu VLSI Limited the MB91302, a new 32-bit high-performance RISC microcontroller that implements direct memory access for high-speed data transfer. The new microcontroller, which is especially well suited for DVD players, digital cameras, printers, video games, and other applications that require high-speed throughput, is available starting today.
