Pentium® 4 Processor
The newest DESKPOWER 5000 runs on Intel® Pentium® 4 processor at speeds of up to 2.2 GHz using Northwood technology, making it one of the most powerful PCs available. The DESKPOWER 5000 also incorporates the Intel® i845G chipset with DDR technology, which is significantly faster than its SDRAM predecessor, resulting in greater performance gains for heavy-duty processing needs.

Fujitsu has created a compact slim form designed for maximum space saving benefits for the DESKPOWER 5000 by integrating LAN, audio and graphics. Its slim towerable profile makes the DESKPOWER 5000 ideal for crowded workstations where space is at a premium. The DESKPOWER 5000 is built using an innovative architecture that effectively cools the robust Pentium® 4 processor while maintaining the overall form factor.

Enhanced Multimedia Capability and User Functionality
The DESKPOWER 5000 offers enhanced multimedia performance with Intel® graphics which has shared memory of up to 48MB, an improvement from the previous memory of 11-14MB. This enhances the DESKPOWER 5000’s capabilities when it comes to digital imaging and video, allowing corporate professionals to include these features in their business presentations, while accommodating the latest technologies such as the upcoming DVD authoring and MPEG4 standard. Coupled with a massive 80GB of storage that makes it easier for users to create and store business and financial applications, the DESKPOWER 5000 is a desktop designed for the present and future needs of discerning professionals.

Rotatable TFT LCD Display
Fujitsu is enabling users to enjoy the increased performance and multimedia capabilities of the DESKPOWER 5000 by offering a 15" thin transistor film (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) colour screen as an option for its space saving desktop PC. This TFT LCD display has a unique pivot feature that allows it to be rotated from a landscape (horizontal) position (for panoramic photographic shots) to a portrait or upright position (for viewing entire text documents) using readily available pivot software. Adjust the position of the display for the best viewing position of online newspaper articles and photographs or tilt the display upright to look at artworks and posters without adjusting the picture’s dimensions.

Another interesting feature of the TFT LCD display is its detachable base. The entire screen can be unscrewed from its base and mounted on the wall*. This would be useful for displaying virtual art pieces in a gallery or for showing corporate videos and product information reels in the reception area of offices. DESKPOWER 5000’s compact and space saving form also blends seamlessly with the surrounding decor when installed at exhibitions or reception areas.
