Singapore, September 22, 2004 – The fi-5650C is Fujitsu’s first-ever Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) scanner in this product segment, with a 200-sheet ADF capacity. It captures both sides of a document in a single pass using dual charged coupled device (CCD) arrays. In A4 Portrait mode, it scans colour or monochrome pages at a resolution of 300 dots per inch (dpi), at a speed of 55 pages per minute (ppm) and 110 images per minute (ipm) for single- and double-sided documents respectively. The device comes with universal serial bus (USB) 2.0 – backward compatible with USB 1.1 – as well as Ultra Small Computer System Interface (Ultra SCSI) connections, providing a speedy link to a PC. Its daily scanning cycle is up to 8000 pages per day.
Sunnyvale and Tokyo, September 21, 2004 – Fujitsu Limited, Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) and Synplicity, Inc., a leading supplier of software for the design and verification of semiconductors, today announced a joint development and marketing agreement to develop a custom physical synthesis product for Fujitsu AccelArray™ structured/platform ASIC devices. Fujitsu and Synplicity will work closely to produce an optimized version of Synplicity’s Amplify® physical synthesis software, specifically targeting the AccelArray architecture and enabling greater performance and faster overall timing closure for Fujitsu’s devices.
