Fujitsu Malaysia recently launched the FlexFrame for mySAP Business Suite solution for enterprise customers in the country. Designed in collaboration with SAP and Network Appliance, the FlexFrame for mySAP Business Suite comprises a set of hardware and software components for configuration in mySAP servers. According to Fujitsu, the solution replaces the need for multiple dedicated servers with a modular, scalable and reliable IT infrastructure that can reduce TCO by up to 60 per cent.

FlexFrame for mySAP Business Suite is based on a clear division of the IT infrastructure for mySAP solutions comprising of computing, control, network and storage components. Essential characteristics of the solution include the Suse Linux OS for Fujitsu's Intel-based Primergy blade servers, virtual SAP services that can be dynamically switched back and forth between servers, shared network-attached storage, and integrated high availability and management functions.

The FlexFrame for mySAP Business Suite solution dynamically allocates the hardware resources to meet on-demand software requirements. Integrated high availability eliminates the need for costly server clusters, while scaling can be performed with little or no downtime. The solution supports gradual and uninterrupted scaling from small systems with about 50 users. FlexFrame for mySAP Business Suite won the SAP Pinnacle Award for Innovative Technology in 2003 and 2004. For more information visit my.fujitsu.com.
