Fujitsu Introduces Multi-Language Network Scanner for Europe
Innovative features highlight Fujitsu´s new European edition fi-6000NS network scanner
London, 8. February 2008 — Fujitsu Europe Limited has today introduced its new European edition fi-6000NS network scanner that supports individual local language layouts. The fi-6000NS multi-language edition colour duplex network scanner comes with a 5-language-panel layout (English/French/German/Italian/Spanish) and com-bines the intuitive, easy installation of a desktop scanner with the productivity of a network scanner for sharing documents in today’s multi-location, global business environment.

Easy to Use, Easy to Install, Secure!
The Fujitsu fi-6000NS is the quickest, easiest way for an organisation to scan and share documents. In the past, businesses
needed centralised printers, copiers, faxes and storage disks to enable others in the organisation to share documents and
collaborate on projects. With the new fi-6000NS, network document sharing, emailing, faxing and printing becomes much easier.
Simply load documents into the automatic document feeder (ADF), log into the system, type in the destination using the built-in keyboard, and press the scan icon on the large touch-screen display. The documents will be easily accessible and immediately available to the rest of the organisation within seconds as the scanner distributes documents directly to a network folder, email account, printer or fax machine. Moreover, the fi-6000NS creates secure, searchable PDF files, allowing users to password-protect their scanned documents, to ensure that files can only be opened by intended recipients.
The fi-6000NS is easy to install. Simply plug-in the power and Ethernet cable, point the network scanner to your network and email server and it’s ready to operate. Because the scanner uses the existing mail system address book and network security, no user profiles have to be created and maintained. There is also no need for a network adapter, PC or additional software.
Innovative Features
The Fujitsu fi-6000NS comes equipped with one of the largest touch-screen displays in its class -- 8.4 inch XGA (1024 x 768
pixel) TFT colour monitor – including 24 bit colour, and zoom/rotate image functionality. The built-in keyboard makes entering
information easy and flips up for access to the document exit tray. For purpose of localising the fi-6000NS, several languages
can be selected by the administrator upon the first installation. To match the chosen operating system language, the scanner
provides matching keyboard cover sheets. The fi-6000NS scans in colour, grayscale and monochrome at duplex speeds up to 25
ppm / 50 ipm, offers true 600 dpi optical resolution, a 50-page automatic document feeder (ADF), and dual-CCD scanning arrays
to consistently capture fine details in colour and monochrome.
The fi-6000NS network scanner also boasts ultrasonic double-feed detection, long document scanning support (up to 863 mm), and hard card scanning capabilities (ISO7810 standard) as well as embossed card scanning through the standard ADF. With a compact footprint of only 315 x 390 x 275 mm, the fi-6000NS fits easily into even the most crowded environments, including front office and back office locations.
