Fujitsu launches Desktop Managed Services for mid-sized businesses in Luxembourg
Brussels, 28 November 2007 — Fujitsu Services, one of Europe’s leading IT services companies, launches a packaged Desktop Managed Service (DMS) in Luxermbourg, complimented by a series of in-depth workshops for board directors to enable them to explore the benefits of DMS in a no-risk environment. This move marks a major investment for Fujitsu across Europe and provides Luxembourg businesses with the option of placing their IT in the hands of a secure and reliable multi-national company at an affordable price.
To allow businesses to explore this service and better understand their IT needs and requirements Fujitsu has developed four consultative workshops:
- Business and Service Requirements
- Environmental Service Study
- Current costs and IT investment plan
- Potential solutions
There is no cost to companies that wish to attend workshops.
The Benefits of Fujitsu’s Desktop Managed Service
Cost reduction, predictability and reliability
DMS can turn desktop service provision into a commoditised and consistent service that provides companies with greater reliability
against predictable and lower costs. This workshop series has already been operating in Finland for 12 years and customers
who progress from workshops to implementing contracts experience a 20% reduction* in their IT costs, enabling them to invest
in business critical operations. The service runs on a fixed cost per user per month, providing management teams with consistent
costs and easier management of IT budgets.
Quality – superior service at an affordable price
Service agents and engineers are part of a leading global IT company and as such they have access to the latest technology
and training at no additional overhead cost to a business.
Productivity
DMS uses pre-tested standard tools and processes to optimise the user’s environment, for instance, Fujitsu’s service desk
eliminates problems at the source using front-line staff to pool data to create a knowledge base from which they can discover
the root cause of issues to reduce waste.
Flexibility and Scalability
Fujitsu’s DMS will grow with a customer’s business removing the headache of hiring staff and purchasing new IT equipment.
Current IT employees can be easily transferred to Fujitsu in line with government and EU legislation.
