The “high-tech” automotive capacitive touch solution

FUJITSU Components, leader in resistive touch panels for the automotive industry, announces the release of a new line of capacitive flush surface touch panels. FUJITSU had expanded the product range specifically for the car industry, fitting the latest standards on car infotainment and providing that “high-tech” feeling

FUJITSU’s development has gone beyond the touch technology and offers a complete and high tech solution for car infotainment systems. The new capacitive touch panels are based upon the glass sensor technology and offer a complete front cover which can be tailored to fit any customer. The touch panel front cover can be custom designed in various materials and shapes and can be used as the front face of the complete infotainment device. The special front cover seamlessly includes the capacitive touch functionality; cut-outs for switches on the side of the active areas for mechanical buttons, USB connections and transparent icons for LED backlight can be provided for, to complete a seamless “high-tech” solution

The capacitive touch solution will be available with sizes up to 10.4inch and offers a transparency of 90%. The controller can be offered as chip on Flex (COF) or assembled on the PCB (COB).
