Fujitsu helps SMEs Thrive Despite Unpredictable Data Growth

Fujitsu EMEIA

Luxembourg, February 02, 2016 Fujitsu today doubles1 affordable storage capacity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – protecting investments simply by avoiding the need to invest in bigger systems – with enhancements to the FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS DX60 S3, the smallest member of the ETERNUS DX family. Sold principally via Fujitsu’s SELECT partners2 that provide dedicated customer support, the business-centric system is easy to install, configure, operate and maintain, removing the perennial headache of managing and storing increasing volumes of data at an affordable cost.

Over 85 percent of ETERNUS entry-level storage systems are sold via Fujitsu’s extensive SELECT partner network, and the popular system is likely to be a driving force for channel partners in winning deals in 2016 and beyond. Among its highlights, the enriched ETERNUS DX60 S3 provides cost-effective high-performance 10G base T iSCSI host connectivity – still relatively uncommon in this segment of the storage market – to reduce financial pressures on SMEs. Storage performance is also improved or increased with up to eight solid state disks (SSDs). ETERNUS DX60 S3 existing customers can take advantage of the new enhancements by easily downloading the latest firmware free of charge3 from the Fujitsu support portalOpen a new window.

The ETERNUS SF Express storage management suiteOpen a new window is also included in the purchase price. It can be upgraded to the full, richly-featured ETERNUS SF version which uses a more predictable controller-based licensing model rather than the conventional capacity-based model.

Pricing and availability

The FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS DX60 S3 is part of the comprehensive family of ETERNUS DX disk storage systems and is now globally available via distribution partners and from Fujitsu.

Notes to editors

1 The FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS DX60 S3 is the smallest member of the ETERNUS DX family. It now provides doubled capacity of up to 288 TB compared to the maximum capacity supported by older firmware releases.
2 SELECT Partner Program: With 45,000 channel partners and 16,200 SELECT members, Fujitsu’s SELECT Partner Program is one of the best channel partner programs in the industry, as it consistently delivers value based on three key cornerstones: Reliable Innovation, Individual Support and Commitment to Growth.

Reliable Innovation
Fujitsu is renowned for its unique approach to innovation. The company’s portfolio of products and solutions provides excellent reliability and increased ROI based on longevity, performance and flexibility. Fujitsu recognizes that innovation is based on shared expertise. As the world becomes increasingly technological, successful, mutually-supportive business relationships are more important than ever. That’s why Fujitsu’s approach to innovation is focused on people. We call it Human Centric Innovation.

Individual Support
Fujitsu makes collaboration easy for the members of its SELECT Partner Program. Partners can access a wide range of marketing and technical resources, incentives, supporting tools and professional expertise, all of which empower them to close the deal. Fujitsu empowers its channel partners to develop: through acknowledging partner abilities and encouraging specializations, which lead to additional benefits in the SELECT Partner Program.

Commitment to Growth
Fujitsu’s commitment to partner growth means that, unlike some other major IT vendors, Fujitsu will never compete with you. Mutual growth through the channel is a strategic priority for the company. Fujitsu goes the extra mile to build a reliable, long-term and trustworthy business relationship with partners. It stays loyal to its channel commitment - to ‘shape tomorrow with you.’

3 While the firmware upgrade is free of charge to current customers, additional HDDs and shelves are not part of this offer and have to be purchased separately.
