TDS to consolidate Softline Group’s ERP systems

ICT service provider opts for state-of-the-art SAP ECC 6.0 platform

Neckarsulm, February 07, 2012

Softline Group, which provides expert advice on information and communications technology (ICT), has tasked TDS with consolidating its IT systems on a single ERP platform. TDS is to implement an industry-specific solution based on SAP ECC 6.0, which will support all of Softline’s European subsidiaries. TDS will also host and operate the solution from its data centres for an initial five-year term. By moving to a single state-of-the-art ERP system for its multinational operations, Softline will improve the efficiency of its business processes and lay the foundations for further international growth.

Rapid implementation and greater flexibility

Softline employs the SAP modules Financial Accounting and Controlling, Asset Accounting, Sales & Distribution, Materials Management and Human Capital Management. TDS offers preconfigured templates tailored to the needs of the service sector. Softline benefts from the use of these templates because they reduce the need for customizing and accelerate implementation.

By replacing its legacy, distributed systems with a consolidated environment based on SAP ECC, Softline reaps several benefits: the new solution supports its international expansion plans, can be flexibly extended to meet new requirements, and effectively handles large quantities of data. The company also gains greater flexibility through TDS’ hosting service, which features on-demand delivery and transparent pricing.

“We were looking for a one-stop SAP and outsourcing partner with a full set of services and skills,” explains Softline Group’s CFO; Christoph Harvey. “TDS has extensive knowledge and experience in SAP consulting, implementation, migration and hosting. That’s why we chose them, and we look forward to working on this project together.”
