Fujitsu and Ingram Micro Expand EMEA Channel Agreement

Relationship grows as part of joint SMB value distribution strategy

Munich, November 26, 2010

Fujitsu today announced a major expansion of its EMEA relationship with Ingram Micro. Ingram Micro will become a Fujitsu pan-European value-added distribution partner for the SMB- and mid-market, supplying the entire Fujitsu Dynamic Infrastructures portfolio of IT products and solutions including leading PRIMERGY servers and ETERNUS storage. Ingram Micro already successfully distributes NetApp products sold via Fujitsu in Germany, and Fujitsu will look into expanding this agreement to cover other countries in Europe.

The new, expanded relationship between Fujitsu and Ingram Micro delivers major benefits to channel partners. SELECT partners and SELECT Experts within the Channel partner program of Fujitsu will experience improved presale capabilities and business support from Ingram Micro, as well as from Fujitsu. This will enable them more efficiently to offer customers the complete range of Dynamic Infrastructure products and solutions from Fujitsu, adding value and opening up new business opportunities.

The strong relationship between Fujitsu and Ingram Micro builds on the companies’ successful recent business development and growth. EMEA revenue across joint server and storage sales in the six months between April and September 2010 has seen a high double digit increase year on year.

Fujitsu’s Dynamic Infrastructures strategy delivers flexible, easy to manage and cost-effective IT and services for companies of all sizes, enabling them to use technology to maximize business agility and reduce administration. The combination of the Dynamic Infrastructures range with Ingram Micro’s pan-European distribution reach will enable Fujitsu to further target both small and medium sized businesses (SMBs), and the mid-market.

Hans-Dieter Wysuwa, Senior Vice President, Corporate Channels at Fujitsu Technology Solutions, says: “Our expanded relationship with Ingram Micro opens up major new opportunities for the EMEA channel partners, providing the complete range of products and services that customers need to remain agile and competitive. Ingram Micro is already a vital link in our joint channel strategy and our strengthened relationship will support our resellers through Ingram Micro’s geographical scope, commitment to success and comprehensive range of value added services.”

Alain Maquet, President, Ingram Micro EMEA, says: “Fujitsu is a key global partner for Ingram Micro and the strength of our relationship is directly helping EMEA resellers meet their customers’ changing needs. At Ingram Micro we have been focused on building our value-add capabilities and investing strategically to further differentiate ourselves in this growing market. This expansion of our agreement with Fujitsu reflects the market knowledge and expertise we are able to bring to our partners, combined with our best-in-class pan-European distribution network. We are pleased with this exciting new development and how it will build on our recent joint success.”
