The 2000s

The decade began for Fujitsu Siemens Computers with a clear strategic direction for the company built around the mega trends of Mobility and Business Critical Computing. The explosion of mobile devices coupled with the rapid growth of e-business called for new levels of security and scalability for IT infrastructures.

In April 2006 the company announced its new Services Division, strengthening its position as a full-service provider for its Mobility and Dynamic Data Center products and solutions. This broadening of the services capability followed the acquisition of the international Product Related Services Division of Siemens Business Services, as announced in December 2005.

In 2008 Fujitsu Siemens Computers introduced Dynamic Infrastructures as the next step in the evolution of its strategy and its extended infrastructure portfolio.

Fujitsu Technology Solutions became a major part of Fujitsu’s global research and development. With a workforce of around 10,000 employees and more than 1,000 engineers, Fujitsu Technology Solutions leads the development of platform products, solutions and services for the Fujitsu Group and drives the global manufacture and development of IA x86 server and storage products.

Fujitsu Technology Solutions (Holding) B.V. was formed in 2009 when Fujitsu Limited took over 100% of the shareholding of the former Fujitsu Siemens Computers, as had been previously announced by Fujitsu and Siemens in November 2008. The full integration of Fujitsu Technology Solutions, with its strong presence in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), was for Fujitsu Limited a catalyst in its transformation to become a truly global company: one capable of offering fully integrated Dynamic Infrastructures products, solutions and services on a global scale.
