The SPARC server Fujitsu M10 set a new world-record in the two-tier SAP® Sales and Distribution (SD) standard application benchmark with 153,000 SAP SD Benchmark users.

This world-record was set by Fujitsu M10-4S running Oracle Database 11g, and surpassed the previous result of 126,063 SAP SD Benchmark users by more than 20%, set by IBM Power 795 running DB2 9.7.

Featuring high performance SPARC64 X processors, Fujitsu M10-4S delivers world-record performance for mission-critical applications that is currently unrivaled by the competition. With the core-level CPU Activation feature and building block architecture, the Fujitsu M10-4S can dynamically scale from an entry-level system to a 64-socket system, expanding as the customer’s business grows. With this unique dynamic scaling, the Fujitsu M10 servers can help customers to optimize their total cost of ownership (TCO).

In comparison with the previous SPARC Enterprise M9000, the Fujitsu M10-4S delivers five times the performance, highlighting the benefit of upgrading to the latest Fujitsu M10 server. With this performance advantage and the world-record for computational and memory intensive benchmarks, Fujitsu M10 is almost unlimited in accommodating various types of applications running on SPARC servers.

For customers looking for a system that can adapt to a changing business environment, the Fujitsu M10 provides peace of mind. Fujitsu M10 adopts a simple “Box” approach to performance enhancement, by merely adding boxes as required. This approach avoids the complexities associated with a forklift style upgrade.   Fujitsu’s ongoing development in leading edge SPARC servers represent our commitment to help customers gain the performance they need for effortless business growth.
