While the fi-486PRFR(pre imprinter) prints information on the front of documents prior to scanning, the fi-486PRRE (post imprinter) prints information of the back of the original documents after they have been scanned. Although both the fi-486PRFR and the fi-486PRRE may be attached to the same scanner unit, both imprinters cannot be used simultaneously.
