Fujitsu's DESKPOWER 6000/SS Encapsulates More Processing Power, Storage And Functionality Within The Ever Sleek, Space-Saving Design
Singapore, 21 May 2001 — Fujitsu, leading manufacturer of computer products, has upped the ante on performance levels for its DESKPOWER 6000/SS
series. The latest DESKPOWER 6000/SS is not only a very good-looking machine, but also packs a punch when it comes to raw
processing power. The new DESKPOWER 6000/SS delivers the best of both worlds be it maximum power or minimal usage of desk
space.
The DESKPOWER 6000/SS, Fujitsu's flagship product in design innovation, sports a sleek space-saving PC housing. Besides the
standard light grey front sub-bezel, the DESKPOWER 6000/SS now comes in a series of limited edition colours: Users have a
choice of limited edition colours on the machine's front sub-bezel. Users are also provided with a choice on the machine orientation:
the DESKPOWER 6000/SS stands as a sleek mini tower or a space-saving desktop.
Complementing the sleek case is Fujitsu's 15-inch XGA TFT LCD, which gives one of the widest viewing angles on a small footprint,
DESKPOWER 6000/SS is also flanked by Altec Lansing speakers, which Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is bundling with the system.
Fujitsu has also included onboard sound chip to complete the entire multimedia experience.
The DESKPOWER 6000/SS is powered by the Intel® Pentium® III processor. With speeds of up to 1GHz, Fujitsu has
definitely enhanced the overall performance of its flagship design machine. Memory support is up to a maximum of 512MB using
the PC133 architecture.
To support higher productivity levels, Fujitsu has included a combo drive solution, which comprises of DVD-ROM as well as
CD-R/RW capabilities. This combo drive solution, is further supported by DESKPOWER 6000/SS' mega-storage option, with a storage
appetite of 30GB to 60GB.
The new DESKPOWER 6000/SS comes standard with built-in 10/100Mbps LAN on board with support for Wake-on LAN and Alert-on LAN
functions.
Availability
The DESKPOWER 6000/SS is available from Fujitsu PC Asia's resellers in June 2001.
