Singapore, 6 January 2003 — Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd, a market leader in document imaging solutions, announces the latest addition to its award-winning imaging solutions with the introduction of its new state-of-the-art, high-speed duplex color scanner, fi-4860C.

Committed to delivering the best, Fujitsu continues its legacy of developing and delivering feature-rich color scanning solutions to different business environments with the new fi-4860C. The new mid-volume production scanner offers exceptional functionality and quality, encompassing the best in color image quality, paper handling and value.

Designed for production-level document imaging environments, the new fi-4860C mid-volume production color scanner offers high-speed, duplex color scanning, at the same speed and price as monochrome and grayscale. Its high definition CCD (Charge Coupled Device) image sensor accelerates the scanning speed, allowing simultaneous duplex, high-resolution scanning. It is Featuring the ultimate in paper-handling flexibility with a 500-page automatic document feeder (ADF) which manages document sizes ranging from 2.9"x2.9" to 11"x17".

With true 400dpi optical resolution, the new fi-4860C offers top scanning speed of 60 pages per minute (ppm). With several image enhancement features, including automatic page size detection, crop and deskew, it offers all invaluable options available when performing large batch scans of critical hardcopy documents. The new fi-4860C comes equipped with Adobe Acrobat 5.0 software, allowing users to convert any document to an Adobe PDF file, and TWAIN Driver.

The new fi-4860C is available now through Fujitsu authorised distributors, DICOM (Singapore) Pte Ltd and Pericom Imaging (Singapore) Pte Ltd at US$16, 995 list price.
