Fujitsu recognised with top Oracle User Group awards 2008

Fujitsu was a winner at the recent Oracle User Group Partner of the Year Awards. Fujitsu, who has been an Oracle implementation partner for 15 years and has over 2,000 global Oracle professionals, picked up the award for the UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG) Public Sector Partner of the Year and was runner up in the UKOUG Shared Services Partner of the Year and the UKOUG Middleware Partner of the Year categories.

The award winners were voted for by the Oracle community and recognise Partners that the community believe has best supported Oracle users throughout the past 12 months. These inaugural awards recognise and reward the value that Partners bring to Oracle users.

Ronan Miles, chairman of the UKOUG comments, “Formally recognising the value that Oracle Partners bring to the Oracle eco-system throughout the UK and Ireland has been an objective of mine for some time now. With over 1,000 customer votes cast, the winners of the first ever Partner of the Year Awards should feel very proud that their customers have chosen to publicly recognise the value they deliver.”


Fujitsu Executive Discussion Event wins award at Marketing Excellence awards 2008

The Fujitsu ‘Executive Discussion Event’ (EDE) programme has won Gold in this year’s Marketing Excellence Awards, organised by ITSMA (IT Services Marketing Association) in the USA.

Fujitsu's submission initially made it through to the shortlist of 5 finalists, in the category of ‘Strengthening Customer Relationships’, and has now achieved the Gold Award for a “stand-out performance in improving services marketing as measured by innovation, execution, and business results”.


The Institute of Management Consultants and Advisors accreditation

Fujitsu Services in September 2007 became an accredited member of The Institute of Management Consultants and Advisors (IMCA). The IMCA is the recognised professional Institute for Management Consultants and Business Advisers in the Republic of Ireland.

The principal objective of the IMCA is the advancement of the professions of management consultancy and business advice through the establishment and maintenance of the highest standards of performance and conduct by its members, and by the promotion of the knowledge and skills required for that purpose.

Project and Portfolio Management Innovation Award 2007

Fujitsu was recently presented with the Project and Portfolio Management Innovation Award for Best PPM Quality Process - a distinction earned through the votes cast by IT executives in attendance at the Project and Portfolio Management Summit® 2007 held in Boston.

"The IT Executives in attendance review many products and services at Project & Portfolio Management Summit. A Project & Portfolio Management Innovation Award signifies that the attendees viewed the winners as having a level of excellence in their category" said Charles Badoian, Senior Global Director for Project & Portfolio Management Summit.

The award for Best Quality Process recognizes the technology provider that best presents content in the form of methodologies, templates and workflows, including structured, iterative or rapid/agile approaches.

HR Excellence Awards 2007

Fujitsu Services recently had a lot to celebrate at the UK HR Excellence Awards 2007; Fujitsu Services not only won the “Most effective use of internal communications” category for work on the Reputation Programme, but also secured the “Overall HR excellence award”.

Claire O’Malley HR Director for Ireland comments: “We are extremely pleased to have won this prestigious award in recognition of both the difference the Reputation Programme has made to the continuing success of the company, and of all the hard work and effort everyone involved in design and delivery of the programme itself.”

Commenting on Fujitsu's entry the judges said “Fujitsu was an excellent piece of work. Classy in concept and delivery with some clear and tangible benefits realised. It is a piece of work in which any employer would be proud, given its originality, effect and outcome.”


European Retail Solutions Awards 2007

Fujitsu Services is celebrating success at this year’s prestigious European Retail Solutions Awards. Fujitsu was named ‘Supplier of the Year’, and along with Vodafone UK was also awarded the ‘Most Innovative Use of In-Store Technology’ for the implementation of Q-MATIC, the world leader in queue management systems, which has transformed the management of customer flow in Vodafone stores.

Commenting on the Supplier of the Year award, the industry acclaimed judges said “the award recognises Fujitsu’s important place as a trusted adviser and innovator for many of Europe’s best known retail names.”
